Chandbali Sea Beach In Bhadrakh Odisha is an old town in the Bhadrak zone of Odisha on the bank of the River Baitarani, and an explorer stop for visitors to the Bhitarkanika Wildlife Sanctuary. Prior to the nineteenth century, Chandabali was a little calculating town, and a trademark stream port. In 1866, trading began from this port to Bengal and in 1881, it was reported an organization port by the British government.

  • Stayed at Aranyanivas Chandbali that I have reviewed separately.
  • The major attraction is the boat ride into the Baitarani river that gives the thrill of seeing salt water crocodiles in the wild.
  • Maa Kali Temple.

There are a couple of temples (Kali and Krishna) nearby that are worth visiting. The evening pooja at Kali mandir was something special to witness. Special salute to the priest for performing the same with all devotion. The pooja accompanied by drumbeats, conches etc had an “ugra swaroop” befitting the Goddess and something we had not seen in other temples dedicated to other deities like Ganesha, Rama, Krishna, Shiva, Vishnu etc.

Remained at the woods rest house. Great prawns for dinners. Our number one food. Decent riverside walk. Old Portuguese stockrooms. Pleasant drifting across to certain towns. One of a kind encounter. The outing to Bhitarkanika WLS was superb. The mangroves were great. Had the opportunity to see the biggest saltwater crocodile. Soon after our visit in 2001, we came to realize that it was the biggest on the planet. All things considered wonderful excursion to an obscure objective. Nobody around us is aware of this great spot.

Attraction
The 650 km2 Bhitarkanika National Park is around 35 km away, open through ferry. The park, one of only a handful few marine parks in India, was set up to ensure saltwater crocodiles, with the uncommon status of Crocodile Sanctuary. The Odisha Government has set up a saltwater crocodile-rearing focus in the park.[5] Other attractions are the remaining parts of two ninth century landmarks and a sanctuary devoted to the love of Lord Shiva.[citation needed]. Another Shakti pitha Maa Patana Mangala Temple(Chhatrapada) is about 25.0 km(30 mins) away from Chandabali. One of the major celebrated celebration for “Patua Yatra” is held at Chhatrapada from 14 to 21 April every year. Chandabali is home to the Sri Aurobindo Dibyadham Ashram, its Relics Temple and Integral Education centre.[6] The Baba Akhandalamani shiv sanctuary (Aradi) is around 12 km away from Chandbali and is one of the prestigious saiva pitha’s in Odisha. There is a celebrated sanctuary of Goddess Kali toward one side of chandabali market and Goddess Durga at opposite end.

The stream bank of Chandabali is very attractive. The town is acclaimed for its perfect fish and dry fish industry which is likewise provided to different pieces of the state.

There is a scaffold which interfaces Chandabali with Kendrapada district. The town is currently back to its greatness and changed over from panchayat to a town due to NAC, great state of street associating with Bhadrak, some great instructive foundations, park and others. The most established High school is arranged at the core of the town ” Dakha High School chandbali”. The School is known for its specialty of instructing and it has created some extraordinary personalities in its 62 years history. It is 50 km away from Bhadrak. There are one N.A.C in particular Chandbali N.A.C and six gram panchayats (G.P.) in Chandbali to be specific Panchpada G.P., Vijaya nagar G.P., Bhatapada G.P., Baligaon G.P., Tentulidiha G.P and Ostia G.P..
